I write about Arjun exactly after a year, I wrote about Karna. I can honestly say that many individual’s response against Karna put me off to write about Arjun. Arjun was someone who was born into privileges and had things easy compared to karna plus he had the blessing of Krishna, but these things should not be interpreted as the reason for correctness of so called greatness.
Pandav
The story of Arjun again cannot start or end without addressing curse on Pandu. Although, Arjun was known as Pandava but he was not the son of Pandu in biological terms. Pandu was cursed by a sage that he will die moment he tries to have sexual relations with any woman who included his wives.
This curse was owing to the fact that Pandu had killed the sage and his wife while they were have intercourse mistaking them for a deer (I still cannot believe, how did THAT happen, it was hell of a mistake, though it has been documented that the sage had transformed himself as a deer and so did his wife, additionally they were doing their mating stuff when Pandu shot them)
The curse was:
“What you have done is a heinous act which does not suit a king. Even the worst of humankind would not have killed a mating pair of animals. I am Rishi Kindam and I usually roam the forests like a deer. You have killed me without any reason. You will not be blamed for killing a Brahmin as you did not know that I was one, but you killed me when I was with my wife, so I curse you that whenever you make love with your wife you will die immediately.”
So Pandu now unable to give birth to sons or daughter (now we don’t need to be all chauvinistic here) let go of his kingly duties and left for forest along with his two young wives. The desire for a son was so huge for Pandu that he asked Kunti about the “gift” she can demand of any god and the gift was a son. The ancient text or should I say some priests give a very naïve interpretation of Mahabarat and the birth of these three sons plus Karna (as though they just landed up in her arms and she caught them just like you catch a cricket ball, yeah right).
Kunti gave birth to 4 sons by 4 different gods, 3 were known as Pandavas after Pandu and that last son she gave birth to was by god Indra or sometimes referred to as Zeus by the Greek mythology ( India and Greece has a lot of shit in common) .
There is a word for such process , it is called niyoga an alternate to it would be something like artificial insemination, however in the case of niyoga there is proper intercourse between second man and the wife of the man who is impotent, so that the woman can get impregnated and bear child, a practice employed in ancient India. (One can bet that the husband’s ego would be all but destroyed in this process, giving your wife to someone else so that he could impregnate her, not to mention enjoy her innumerable times in the meantime, authors have written that Kunti had seen the feeling of ecstasy in the face of her lovers, similar to the one she saw on Pandu’s face when he died after having sex with his second wife because of the curse . I however feel that the fem-nazi of the world would be ecstatic of the situation an act which allows them to humiliate a man, there by propagating their view point of woman emancipation and empowerment, fascinating stuff.)
Some authors also quote this as the reason for Pandu’s frustration.
Arjun’ s name and teachings
Mahabharat states that god’s sang when Arjun was born, this was owing to the fact that he was Indra’s son (Commander of gods like Zeus). He was trained in religion, science, administration and military arts by the Kuru and Dronacharya (who considered Arjun to be his best student).
Arjun also was called by many names:
- Arjuna – one of taintless fame and glow like silver (Argentum)
- Phalguna – one born on the star of Phalguna
- Jishnu – conqueror of enemies
- Kiriti – one who wears the celestial diadem, Kiriti, presented by Indra
- Swetavahana – one with white horses mounted to his chariot
- Bibhatsu – one who always fights wars in a fair manner
- Vijaya – victorious warrior
- Parth or Partha – Son of Pritha or Kunti. Incidentally his father is the Lord of Heavens, Indra.
- Savyasachi – Skillful in using both arms, ambidextrous.
- Dhananjaya – one who conquers bows (dhanu) referring to his skills as an archer.
- Gudakesa – One who had thick hair; gudha: dense and kesha: hair.
- Kapi Dhwaj – Having flag of Kapi (Monkey) in his chariot. (Arjuna’s flag displayed an image of Hanuman from a previous encounter)
- Parantap – one who concentrates the most, destroyer of enemies from his concentration
.
Arjun and Krishna
Krishna’s role in Arjun’s life is of great importance and in my view far greater than Dronacharya’s presence. Dronacharya was no doubt Arjun’s teacher who taught him warfare and made him a great archer. It was however, Krishna’s presence which saves Arjun many times and the knowledge of philosophy which Krishna provides to Arjun is in today’s era known as Bhagavad Gita, something which is of great importance to the South-Asian culture (not necessary to a term Hindu, on which I shall write).
Krishna’s connection to Arjun is also with the marriage alliance in which Krishna’s half-sister Subhadhra was married to Arjun, it is said that Krishna encourage the match of Subhadhra and Arjun. Through this union was born Abhimanyu (I must admit here that for longtime; I thought Abhimanyu was son of Draupadi, thank god he wasn’t, I donot like the character of Draupadi much owing to her egoistic behavior).
Krishna was however the reason for Arjun to marry Draupadi and reject Karna.
Krishna also plays major role in trying to get the rights of Pandavas, which led him to conflict with Duryodhan. During the battle of Kurushetra, Krishna eggs Arjun to kill Karna owing to the fact that Karna was responsible for Arjun’s son’s death and Draupadi’s humiliation. Even though Krishna knew about the fact that there were many players in that scenario.
.
Draupadi
Arjun’ story has another major character without mentioning whom Arjun’s life will not be complete. She is Draupadi. The wife of all 5 Pandavas, but there is a story behind it too. In Draupadi’s “Swayam Varam” where a woman is allowed to choose her husband, Arjun along with his brother went there dressed as Brahmin. Duryodhan had come there along with Karna. In that marriage ceremony as task was required to be done, that is to pierce the eye of a fish with arrow. When Karna went to pick up the bow for the task, Draupadi insulted Karna by calling him son of a charioteer who dared thought of marrying a princess. Her exact words were “A man who live off a king’s goodwill, how can he protect my honour.” Krishna also played a spoilsport here by instigating Draupadi.
Anyhow, after Karna was so called “debarred” by that egoistic Draupadi. Now enters Arjun, disguised as Brahmin. Naturally he shoots well and wins. Here, it is tried to be said that he is Brahmin and his entry should be invalid, but again Krishna comes to rescue with his sweet talk.
Arjun then takes Draupadi to his home in order to show his new bride to his mother. He asks his mother to come out, so that he can show her what he has brought for her. His mother Kunti (full of accidental errors, read Karna) does another blunder by saying that “whatever you have got share it with your brothers”. Whether, that was to the horror or to the delight of Draupadi, I leave that thought to the choice of the reader. Reader may also question that it was just an accidental error, why did they go ahead with it. Well, they were living a life that time in which whatever you say needs to be done, so kunti’s accidental error needed to be followed. However, Yudhistra (the wise one) could have prevented it by his sweet talk and understanding but I guess his desire lied elsewhere.
So now Draupadi won by Arjun became Panchali, the one with five husbands.
.
Other Marriages:
Arjun is also married to Ulupi ( naga princess) and Chitrangadaa (Princess of Manipur). Both the sons by the respective princess were left with their mothers.
.
Exile and Curse of Urvashi
The pandav were exiled after being humiliated for failing the game of dice in which they lost everything, their kingdoms and got their wife stripped (very honorable conduct). During exile they were cursed in the way that for year they have live in anonymity and if they were found somehow, they will have to begin their 13 year exile again. So not only they had to go on exile, the Pandavas were left with the game of hide and seek with kauravas who were in a hurry to find them and repose longer exile terms.
During these 13 years for one year Arjun was forced to live like an eunuch owing to the curse of Urvashi (the hot as hell cheerleader of Lord Indra a.k.a Zeus, if you wish to imagine her beauty then go for the hottest female you have ever seen in your life and now raise it to the power of 10, it is a mathematical thing).
Now imagine that this female whom everyone in the world is dying to mate with, Arjun in his righteousness shuns her advance. Question is what she will do now ? It would be usual what a hot as a hell furious woman would do, BURN the house down. She sent Arjun straight to her interpretation of hell, which is impotency for one year.
This was during the time when Arjun was invited to the kingdom of his father in heaven and he was staying there for some time after he was rewarded with various weapons by many gods.
It is during this year that he taught in Place of King of Virata to his daughter Uttra. Once the curse was complete the king wanted Uttra to be married to Arjun, but Arjun stated that as he has been her teacher it would not be right in the duty of Dharma, to which the king was displeased. In this situation Arjun offered a better solution of his son by Subhadhra (half sister of Krishna ) to be married to Uttra. This proposal was readily accepted by the King. Abhimanyu was married to Uttra when both were 14-15 years old (child marriage).
.
Kurushetra war and Bhagavad Gita:
In this war Arjun was responsible for death of Bhishma, Karna and Jayadratha. The last one he held responsible of killing Abhimanyu.
Before the war began, Arjun was full of doubts of fighting his own brothers and teachers. To resolve this issue, Krishna came into picture in which he gave Arjun the knowledge of Dharma in which he told Arjun it was necessary for him to fight his cousins, grandfather and Teachers for greater good because all of them have forgotten true Dharma. Particularly they are supporting Duryodhan who is just after Pandavas due to ego of childhood, motivated by his evil maternal Uncle shakuni. Krishna also informs Arjun that where were these elders when your wife was being stripped, when your property was being taken away and when you were being humiliated by them.
In order to bring balance back to world, Arjun needs to fight them and kill them if needed, which included his beloved Great Grandfather Bhishma. He informs Arjun that it is his duty/ dharma to fight as he was a warrior.
In the war Arjun uses Shikhandi to kill Bhisma who was the reincarnation of princess Amba to whom Bhisma had refused marriage and she had set herself on fire. He kills Karna when Karna is armless (and riddled with curses of his life).
Arjun On management
Now this one is very interesting, Arjun is nothing without his two teachers Drona and Krishna. No doubt he had a potential since he was a child. It was however this potential which was harnessed by both of his teachers. Many authors write that Arjun was of clean image, well it is their interpretation. Success of Arjun on management is someone who looks up to his/her teachers in their daily duty and asks for their advice, even if that advice pitches him/her against his family. In short who fights for Dharma or righteousness under the guidance of a mentor.
.
Arjun in Today’s world
Arjun is someone born in prosperity and is gifted. The best analogy is a rich American kid, good in grades, goes to Ivy League University and then fights the so called “bad” world. In India too, it would be someone born in elite society and has all privileges but at the same time is intelligent too, unlike karna who was raised in poor family but was very intelligent.
PS: There was one anime movie also which came on Arjun the warrior prince, which I believe was a good effort. But was no box office success. The creators could have created Mahabharat on the line of Harry potter or Lord of The ring series in which there were 8 and 4 grand movies respectively.

Hello just wanted to ask if you are sure that the meaning of dhananjaya was right.I think it has something to do with dhan-money.
Also, the pandavas were born and raised in the forest, no privileges or prosperity.Three of them lost their father and the other two lost both parents. All brought up by a woman, living in a hut in the forest.Karn had a better childhood, grew up in the city, had a normal home, with actually a father who earned and was loved and nurtured by both parents.
As you think, Dhananjaya means “Conqueror of Wealth (Dhan)” is one of the several names of Agnideva (even before Arjuna came to be known by this name) and has nothing to do with Bow – Dhanushya. Prosperity was achievable through Yadnya only due to Agni – signifies the fire element. However, Dhan here does not mean material “Dhan”. It means, wealth in terms of overall prosperity including spiritual progress. Arjuna was no doubt a great warrior. He was also named as “Jishnu” (undefeatable). However, in Mahabharat, there were several people who were undefeatable in war.
Needless to mention here the Son of Ganga – Bhishma who could control the time of his death himself ! And of course, the son of Brahmarshi Bharadwaja having the Brahmadand of lord Brahma having the ascetic prowess of all seven brahmarshis and against which no weapon could stand – Dronacharya. All these were always “Jishnus” till such time they fell in the final war. Again, the question of whether Karna or Arjuna was a better warrior or Archer cannot be answered so easily.
I would like to point out special features of both :
Arjuna –
1) He was not an ordinary prince but incarnate of Indra and Agni and hence a natural born ally of Dharma.
2) He represents the fire element in 5 Pandavas (Agni) which is why he won over fire-born Draupadi. (Yudhisthira – Dharma – Sky element (Akasha) – vacuum, Bhimasena – Wind (Vayu) or Air element, Nakula – Liquid (Jala) element, Sahadeva – Solid (prithvi) Element). The fire element alone can result in union of all five elements. Hence Draupadi who was fire-born was married to all five Pandavas. (The five Pandava incarnations also had their associated deities as follows : Yudhishthira – YamaDharma, Bhimasena – Vayu, Arjuna – Indra, Nakul and Sahadeva – Ashwini twins.)
2) He was more emotional among the 5 Pandavas and was guided more by his devotion to lord Krishna and his elder brother Yudhishthira. He was also the most romantic among the five brothers and had the most wives. Wherever he went he did some romance indicating his emotional fire nature!
3) He had huge amount of accumulated ascetic merit from his previous birth – (Sage Nara)- Hence he was quickly graced by celestials like Agni, Indra and the greatest lord Shiva !
4) He easily obtained boons from Indra – unique celestial weapons, Agni – Gandiva, Chariot and quivers and Shiva – Pashupatastra.
However, though a great warrior, he was far from perfect and had his vices. In particular ego about his birth, archery skills, extreme emotionalism leading to wrong decisions and lack of complete understanding of “Dharma”. Needless to say, in Mahabharat war, had lord Krishna not been his charioteer and guide, the outcome of the war would have been totally different. (PS: In Mahabharat, Maharshi Vyasa does not seem to want to depict anyone “perfect”. The high souled Yudhishthira is close to perfect in character but even he falls from his adherence to Dharma in the game of dice and that one incidence tarnishes his image completely ! )
Next we come to Karna.
1) Karna was not an ordinary Suta, but incarnate of demon “Naraka” (nether world) who had boon from Sun God.
2) He is born with the blessings of impregnable Armor and Earrings from Sun God. Unlike Arjuna he has not positive acquired ascetic merit from previous birth. However, this is substituted by the armor and earrings from Sun God. Hence, while Sun God has not given him anything for offensive, as a Godfather’s duty he has been granted by Surya the strongest defense and cannot be killed in war. Indra the chief of celestials had to “beg” for his armor to protect his son Arjuna in war.
3) Like Arjuna, Karna is more of fire element and hence guided more by emotions. However, unlike Arjuna his emotions are negative due to the injustice rendered to him. He is not romantic like Arjuna. However, he is full of contempt and jealousy for Arjuna. Unlike Arjuna, he does not have Krishna with him. (Suryadeva is the Self-effulgent uncontrollable form of Fire element i.e. nuclear power whereas Agni is the more modest controllable form of fire element)
4) Like Arjuna, he hard earns his Archery skills though by deceit.
5) Unlike Arjuna, he does not have accumulated ascetic merit nor does he try to acquire it in this birth. He however due to his negative emotions, gets a host of curses, one from his own Guru Parshurama and from a Brahmin.
6) Karna was charity incarnate and most generous among his contemporaries. None could equal him in charity.
7) He was not only a fantastic archer, but also a formidable foe in mortal combat. Narada has described his duel with Jarasandha in which he defeats him and is almost about to kill him !
8) Karna alone brings a host of kingdoms under the sway of Hastinapura.
His vices include extreme emotionalism – getting carried away to the extent of abusing Draupadi, jealousy and contempt of Arjuna and taking wrong decision of siding with Duryodhana thereby increasing his sin-load. Sage Narada has described in detail the reasons to Yudhishthira as to why Karna was vanquished.
There are incidences when Karna has been mentioned to have fled from the battlefield against Arjuna as pointed out by others. However, temporarily retreating from the battlefield does not mean final “defeat”.
1) He accompanied Kauravas against Drupada, but could not hold his own against Panchalas primarily because Kauravas were over-confident of victory and their attack was not planned and organised. What could Karna do when Kauravas themselves ran away ?
2) Same was the case with Gandharvas – Chitrasena used his powers of illusion(Maya) suddenly for which Kurus were unprepared and for which Karna had no remedy or he was too stunned to even use it. However, Chitrasena does not use the same offensive illusory power with Pandavas. He only disappears with his power of illusion. This indicates that he did not use his offensive powers against Pandavas.
3) Virata Parva – Just prior to this, in the 12th year of exile of Pandavas, Indra takes away Karna’s armor. When Karna faced Arjuna, he retreated the first time, however, he was not defeated as some say for he returned back with extra vigor along with Bhishma, Drona, Dusshasana that is when Arjuna used the divine Sammohana learned from Indra.
4) Final war – In this combat, Karna appeared equal to Arjuna in all respects. In fact Karna was the only warrior who was able to strike Arjuna’s chariot, and even Krishna on one occasion. One time Arjuna was saved due to Lord Krishna’s pressing down the chariot. Even though his wheel was stuck into the ground, Karna continued fighting. He baffled all of Arjuna’s weapons and Arjuna in fact lost his senses for some time on being struck by Karna’s arrow, during which karna got down to pull out his chariot wheels and that is when Arjuna regained his senses and struck the final “Anjalika” arrow. He is the only warrior against whom Arjuna took out the Pashupatastra (referred to as the Raudra). When Karna baffled all of Arjuna;s weapons at that time Arjuna invoked the Raudra – Pashupatastra. Lord Shiva had told Arjuna that the weapon should not be used against a lesser foe and should only be used when in despair and as a last resort. This clearly indicates that Arjuna was actually in despair and Karna was no lesser foe. However, Arjuna did not have to use it, as Karna’s chariot wheels sunk into the ground and he was reduced to a lesser foe at that point. Further, lord Krishna’s words are very indicative, “Arjuna strike Karna with Superior weapons” – indicates that Krishna knew Karna could not be felled by ordinary weapons. When Arjuna lost his consciousness, Krishna again said to Arjuna, “cut of with your arrow the head of this enemy before he gets back into his chariot”. The urgency of these words is clearly suggestive that had Karna managed to climb up back on his chariot “armed”, it would have been impossible for Arjuna to kill him or Arjuna would have to use the Raudra – Pashupatastra.
I am sure on reading the above, people will realize the futility of the question :”Who was better warrior” or bashing Karna fans. Karna fans too should not over estimate his prowess.
i really wonder why this human crowds are fighting to prove their knowledge about MAHABHARAT its not an algebra as you are much known geek you will be getting A+ . It is a divine formula which we should apply and rely in our life …. every one posted here fighting for your comment but i dono which dumbnut created this blog …just to make shit out of his time he has described MAHABHARAT in such a ruthless way… don’t be so happy that u know some most of your mentions were wrong i don’t wana mention that bcaz mahabharat does not teach me that .. but first of all know this it was dictated by sage vysya and written by Lord ganesha you need to show such a respect when u do the same thing you moron… after all here u proved the difference between hindhu brought up boy and learning hindhuism.. …. Wow, your statement certainly does reflect that,
“after all here u proved the difference between Hindu brought up boy and learning Hinduism”
.
You can easily pass off for a fanatic / Salafism propagating Mulla (Islamic Priest) if we change 2 words in the statement

Krishna said(To Arjuna):.I swear by Truth to thee, O friend, that my limbs are burning at the thought that while the son of Subhadra was thus advancing, consuming the hostile army with his shafts, even on that occasion the wicked-souled Karna was engaged in acts of hostility to that hero,Unable, O Partha, to stay in that battle before Abhimanyu’s face, mangled with the shafts of Subhadra’s son, deprived of consciousness, and bathed in blood, Karna drew deep breaths, inflamed with rage. At last, afflicted with arrows, he was obliged to turn his back upon the field.

& Finally karna himself accepting Arjuna’s supeority:
Narrative:
“‘Karna said(about Arjuna), “As far as I have heard,
such a superior car-warrior has
never been born on earth! Behold
my prowess, since I will contend in
battle with even that Partha who is
such. This prince of Kuru’s line, this
foremost of car-warriors, careers in
battle, borne by his steeds white in
hue. Perhaps he will despatch me to
Yama’s abode today. Know, however,
that with Karna’s death, these all
will be exterminated. The two arms
of this prince are never covered with
sweat. They never tremble. They are
massive and covered with cicatrices.
Firm in the use of weapons, he is
possessed of great skill and endued
with great lightness of hands.
Indeed, there is no warrior equal to
the son of Pandu. He taketh a large
number of arrows and shooteth them
as if they were one. Quickly fixing
them on the bow-string, he
propelleth them to the distance of
two miles. They always fall on the
foe. What warriors is there on earth
that is equal to him? That Atiratha,
endued with great activity, with
Krishna as his ally, gratified the god
Agni at Khandava. There, on that
occasion, the high-souled Krishna
obtained his discus, and Savyasaci,
the son of Pandu, obtained his bow
Gandiva. There that mighty-armed
one, endued with might that knows
no decay, also obtained his terrible
car unto which are yoked those white
steeds, as also his two great
celestial and inexhaustible quivers,
and many celestial weapons, from
the God of Fire. In the region of
Indra he obtained his conch
Devadatta and slew innumerable
Daityas, and all the Kalakeyas. Who
is there on earth that is superior to
him? Possessed of greatness of soul,
he gratified Mahadeva himself in fair
fight, and obtained from him the
terrible and mighty weapon Pasupata
that is capable of destroying the
three worlds. The several Regents of
the world, united together gave him
their weapons of immeasurable
energy, with which that lion among
men quickly destroyed in battle
those united Asuras, the
Kalakhanjas.
So also, in Virata’s city,
moving on a single car he
vanquished all of us, and snatched
from us that wealth of kine, and took
from all the foremost of car-warriors
(portions of) their garments.
Challenging that foremost of
Kshatriyas, that hero having him of
Vrishni’s race for his ally, that
warrior who is endued with such
energy and such attributes, I regard
myself, O Shalya, to be the foremost
of persons in all the world in point
of courage. He is, again, protected by
that Keshava of great energy, who i
Narayana himself and who is without
a rival, that high-souled Vasudeva,
that ever-victorious Vishnu armed
with conch, discus, and mace, whose
attributes all the world united
together, cannot (in narrating)
exhaust in 10,000 years. Beholding
the two Krishnas together on the
same car, fear entereth my heart
together with courage. Partha is the
foremost of all bowmen!

ACCORDING TO MY ANALYSIS OF THIS TRANSLATION IN THE FINAL BATTLE OF MAHABHARATA,ARJUNA & KARNA ASSAULTED EACH OTHER 35 TIMES WITH NUMEROUS, THOUSANDS & LAKHS OF ARROWS ………8 TIMES THEY NULLIFIED EACH OTHER ARROWS ,12 TIMES BOTH KARNA & ARJUNA PIERCED EACH OTHER BUT THE REMAINING 15 TIMES ARJUNA PIERCED KARNA IN EVERY PART OF HIS BODY & KARNA’S LIMBS,YOKE,STANDARD,STEEDS,CHARIOT WERE RIPPED APART & KARNA WAS LEFT MANGLED BATHED IN BLOOD & KARNA HAD NO ANSWER FOR ARJUNA’S ARROWS!!!

OTHER MISCONCEPTIONS:
MAHADEV SHIV HIMSELF ACCEPTED ARJUNA SUPERIOTY WHEN LORD SHIVA FOUGHT A DUEL WITH ARJUNA IN HUNTER DISGUISE WHEN ARJUNA DID SEVERE PENANCE ON HIS TWO THUMBS OF HIS FOOT TO OBTAIN PASHUPATASTRA FROM LORD SHIVA..ARJUNA WAS CALLED NARA & HE WAS THE MOST IDEAL MAN HIMSELF & LORD KRISHNA HIMSELF ACCEPTED IN GITA PRAISING HIS MORAL CHARACTER!READ WHAT MAHADEV HAS TO SAY ABOUT ARJUNA..IF YOU WANT I CAN POST ENTIRE NARRATIVE!!
#####& EVEN IF FOR ANY REASON YOU WANT TO ARGUE WITH LORD SHIVA REGARDING ARJUNA PROWESS,THEN YOU ARE MOST WELCOME!!
Moreover karna himself praised arjuna that everytime he cut thread of bow arjuna in such a speed rejoin his thread that karna cant notice..this is clearly memtioned in karna parva..for god’s sake read carefully..Moreover Arjuna wasnt responsible for karna shaap so why do u blame arjuna..why dont you people dont notice how abhimanyu single handedly hold at bay 5 kaurava generals simultaneously including karna when he was chariotless!!
Moreover karna himself said to kunti(in ved vyas version) & to shalya ( in some telugu version) dat anybody except Mahadev Shiva would fear to fight arjuna wid krishna as his charioteer!
Moreover about the kavach kundal u claimed of karna better get to know even if shakuni or even blind dhritrashtra had dat kavach kundal nobody not even demigods can penetrate his kavach..the fact of matter is that having impenetrable kavach kundal makes karna invincible in battle & battle will become 1 sided so karna having deprived of his kavach kundal makes the battle equally challenging for both & not 1 sided…So having kavacha kundal will definietly make you invincible in battle but wont show your archery talent!
Moreover I laugh at your fact that kunti saved arjuna even though karna only promised he would spare all 4 pandavas except arjuna as karna was determined to kill arjuna even though knowing arjuna was his younger brother..On the other gand arjuna gandiva fell from his hand & he cried for fraticide he had done after karna death after kunti desclosed of karna reality as his elder brother to arjuna & after dat Arjuna developed great affection for karna last suviving son named Vrishaketu, & personally arjuna trained him & took utmost care of him.. This is Arjuna!!
Arjuna wasnt even seduced by queen of all apsaras Urvashi whom even great rishis cant resist..Arjuna has an unmatched control of lust & respect for women which draupadi & krishna themselves praised! But what karna did-Karna encouraged cheer haran of draupadi & called drapadi A PROSTITUTE(VAISHYA)..god krishna doesnt like anybody without any reason!!
Now coming at your brahmin curse for karna, aruna didnt gave him dat shap so why you blame arjuna..it was his destiny dat even arjuna cant change..in gitaopdesh lord vasudev showed arjuna his vishwaroopam in which karna alongwith all kaurava commanders were engulfed by lord krishna bigg mouth which arjuna saw..everybody knew those on path of adharm are sure to get defeated & stop blaming arjuna for dat!
you r wrong again mate…If you read mahabharata properly shikhandi in her previous birth has a boon from lord shiva dat in her next birth as shikhandi, she will be d reason for bhishma death & krishna himeslf enginered bhishma death by arranging shikandi behind arjuna after bhishma himself told d way of his death becoz of shikhandi so u better stop blaiming arjuna for dat..dis was lord shiva boon dat was bound to happen.& according to u arjuna causing bhishma death was unjust..but dear it was again lord shiva boon dat shikandi obtained in her previous birth & dats d truth which ur ego cant change!dis was bound to happenn..then better blame lord shiva & lord krishna both dude..argue with gods then..u can assume however whatever u want in ur own version of mahabharata written by urself!but in actual mb,sorry mate dis doesnt happen dude.. accept dat!
Now coming to your point dat karna forgot mantra for brahmastra invocation better read d last part sec 90-91 of karna parva. It was CLEARLY mentioned dat karna after initial struggle karna was able to recall mantra for brahmastra which he invoked & directed at arjuna which was queched by another brahmastra fired by arjuna..
Jai Hind..

all this Karna vs Arjuna and talks about Karna is greater or Arjuna is greater.. is kinda lame..
if u do adharma or even befriend person that do adharma u suffer the fate of Karna and his co. Even if ur not so skilled but if u stood up for the dharma, and be devoted to the supreme lord.. u may suffer for a period. but God himself will come to u aid in the end.. Lord Krishna didnt care for anything but for dharma and didnt care to go beyond the line to secure it..
being humble and praising other warriors and accepting what actually is dont mean one is superior over the other..
Arjun is better than Karna
Exactly 💯
The story of Karna proves that considering to be inferior can mislead to a wrong way of life.
I think you have misjudged it, it was not Karna but others who considered him to be inferior. They were not willing to give him any path for growth and respect, then he decided to make his own path.
If these beings were so noble and bright, then they should not have insulted him and should have given Karna his due.
